A fantastic subterranean world is only one of the attractions in the Buchan Caves Reserve. Here you’ll also find a swimming pool fed by an underground stream, an informative display in the visitor centre, and lots of kangaroos, lyrebirds and owls. Cave tours are conducted daily except on Christmas Day.

This campsite is located in Buchan Caves Reserve

The sublime formations in the Buchan Caves were formed by rainwater seeping down through the limestone and depositing calcite, which progressively built up – it’s amazing to see what can be achieved with a leaky roof. These famous caves are adjacent to Buchan township and are a hugely popular destination. Motor down Buchan Road from town to reach them.
