You can plant yourself in the bushland alongside Lake Victoria at Thalia Point, between the Spoon Bay and Thalia tracks. The catch is that you can only do so during the designated hunting seasons for duck, quail and deer. If this doesn’t discourage you, confirm dates and requirements with the ranger. There are no facilities out here; bring your own firewood and drinking water.
