This is the northernmost camping area in the park, the closest to Nowa Nowa – take Lake Tyers Rd off the Princes Hwy east of the township, then turn west on Camerons Arm No. 1 Track. Canoeists can roam up and down Nowa Nowa Arm, on the lookout for azure kingfishers and herons. If you feel like a stroll, head west down the Princes Hwy to the Cherry Tree picnic area and take the pretty 2 km Tooloo Arm Walk.

This campsite is located in Lake Tyers Forest Park

Placid Lake Tyers is fringed with eucalypts on one side, and on the other it’s separated from Bass Strait by a thin ridge of sand. Only 20 km north-east of Lakes Entrance, the lake’s sheltered waters attract canoeists, anglers and swimmers, while walkers tramp cheerily through the nearby rainforest. The lake can be accessed off the Princes Hwy via Burnt Bridge Rd, 10 km north of Lakes Entrance, or Lake Tyers Rd, 6 km east of Nowa Nowa.
