This family-owned and run noodle house believes in doing things properly. Lucy, who used to run her own restaurant in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi province in China, even grinds her own rice for the authentic noodles made fresh every morning, serving them with hydroponic produce fresh from her home garden. Other choices include local abalone and sea urchin roe, chicken, pork, tofu and popular cha’sui – classic barbecue pork and beef. She also makes homemade dumplings filled with vegetables, pork, prawns and more. When the population of this sleepy fishing village swells from 800 to 5000 in summer, the noodle shop buzzes from 7am till very late at night, as everything is prepared fresh.
