Angusvale is scenically sited at the northern edge of the national park, beside the Mitchell River some 16 km east along the Mitchell Dam Rd from the junction with the Bairnsdale–Dargo Rd. From here you can follow the Mitchell River Walking Track for 18 km to the other end of the park, a hike of around 2 days. Look to the skies for peregrine falcons, swift parrots and other fascinating local birds.
