There’s a section of the Great Alpine Rd that twists and turns to follow the course of the pretty Tambo River. You can go bush camping at the headwaters of this waterway on the Nunniong Plains by heading down Nunniong Rd. There are no facilities here, though you can draw water from the nearby creek to boil.
