Hicks camping area
Campsite
Hicks camping area is in the south of Snowy River National Park, beside the Yalmy River. It’s accessed off Varney’s Track, which runs off Yalmy Rd. A 4WD is required to reach this spot, and note that access is seasonal, restricted to dry weather. Keep a lookout for the rare brush-tailed rock wallaby, which occasionally makes an appearance in the area. There are also hiking, horseriding and mountain-biking trails nearby that you can tackle.
