Waratah Flat camping area
If you’re looking for peace and quiet, make a beeline for the Waratah Flat camping area beside Rodger River. To get there, cruise through big-tree country admiring forests of grey gum, alpine ash and native pine along Yalmy Rd, skirting the Yalmy River, and then turn off at Waratah Flat Rd. To really enjoy this wooded wonderland, pull on a pair of hiking boots.

This campsite is located in Snowy River National Park
Flanking the iconic Snowy River, and with deep forested gorges, this enormous slice of Victorian wilderness is a breathtaking treat. Canoeing or rafting the Snowy River are highly rewarding experiences, and there are numerous walking tracks to follow. The main access routes run off the Buchan–Jindabyne Rd and the Princes Hwy at Nowa Nowa.
