The Hotel Shamrock

This gracious wrought-iron lace-trimmed hotel has been a part of Bendigo’s history and cultural scene since 1854. Although the original hotel was burnt down, the owners replaced the building in 1897 and carried on without missing a beat. Today it offers accommodation in 28 well-appointed, modernised but atmospheric rooms with high ceilings – some with marble floors, tea- and coffee-making facilities and deluxe ensuite bathrooms. Two large spa suites have luxurious bathrooms and views over Pall Mall. The Saloon Bar downstairs is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving casual meals, while the Victorian Wine Room on the first floor offers a more elegant dinner venue. Guests have access to undercover secure parking.
