Slaty Creek picnic and camping area
Campsite
There are actually 3 camping areas spread around Slaty Creek in the south of the park: Number 1, Number 2 and Number 3 campgrounds. After you’ve taken a nap under a manna gum and panned for gold in the creek, head up to St Georges Lake to go bird- and platypus-watching, or just to circumambulate this placid body of water. The campgrounds are accessed via Slaty Creek Rd, which is off Bungaree–Creswick Rd.
