Mulga Dam camping area
Small Mulga Dam is in the far north of the national park. A short walk past old charcoal pits starts from the picnic area here. Along the way you may hear some of the many songbirds that thrive in the region. To reach the camping area, head north-east from Bendigo along the Midland Hwy, then veer due north on the Bendigo–Tennyson Rd and turn west on Camp Rd.

This campsite is located in Greater Bendigo National Park
This interesting national park extends north and south of Bendigo, and has a number of significant Aboriginal sites plus remnants of the gold rushes that swept through the area in the mid-19th century – amateur prospectors still try their luck here. There’s a great wildflower show in spring, a highlight being the colours of the whirakee wattle, only found around Bendigo. Access roads branch out from the Calder, Loddon Valley, Midland and McIvor hwys.
