This campsite is located in Maldon Historic Reserve

This small reserve surrounds Maldon and was created to protect the remnants of the gold rush that gave birth to the town. The most prominent are the Beehive Mine Chimney and the ruins of the North British Mine, but old shafts, dams and other relics are scattered throughout the reserve.
