Campsite
Butt’s Reserve is west of town on Mt Tarrengower Road. After visiting the collection of artefacts at the North British Mine and exploring the adjacent Carman’s Tunnel, climb the fire tower on Mt Tarrengower and also scale Anzac Hill to check out the surrounding landscape. Train enthusiasts will want to take a ride on the historic railway that crosses Smiths Reef, bound for Castlemaine.
