There’s not much space at this camping area in the west of the park, so it’s best to contact the ranger beforehand to check the availability of sites, particularly if you have a caravan. You can walk across the park to its main picnic area, where you can continue along a self-guided wildflower trail or take a wheelchair-accessible track to Reserve Dam.

This campsite is located in Paddys Ranges State Park

The spring wildflower display is arguably the natural highlight of this area, although the gold prospectors who feverishly dug up the ground here in the mid-19th century may have begged to differ. You can go recreational prospecting in certain areas if you have a Miners Right permit; otherwise, occupy yourself with some gentle bushwalks. About 3 km south-west of Maryborough, follow Old Avoca Rd off the Pyrenees Hwy.
