Follow Murray Rd from Murrabit township, or Hall or Watsons lanes from the Koondrook–Murrabit Rd, and you’ll soon find yourself surrounded by river red gums. Fishing in the river is focused on Murray cod and yellow-belly, while back in Murrabit a huge regional-produce market takes place on the first Sat of each month.

This campsite is located in Benwell State Forest

Benwell State Forest is a 500 ha grove of towering red gums that have flourished alongside the stately flow of the Murray River. Swimming, fishing and canoeing are all favoured by visitors to the area. The forest lies to the east of the small town of Murrabit, which is itself situated due north of Kerang on the Murray Valley Hwy.
