Lake Bael Bael is one of the largest of the 50 or so bodies of water that make up the Kerang Lakes, an internationally recognised wetland district. It’s fed by the Avoca River and, in turn, sustains a bewildering assortment of waterbirds; bring your binoculars. Bush camping is permitted on the north-western fringe of the lake. Turn off the Murray Valley Hwy at the township of Reedy Lake onto Fairley Rd.
