Sixteen km south-east of Cobram is Cobrawonga Island, where you’ll find some spacious bush camping sites. This area is dominated by river red gums – tents should not be set up underneath the branches of these impressive trees, as they are notorious for snapping without warning. Access is via Grinter Rd, which heads north off the Murray Valley Hwy.
