Freemans picnic and camping area

Campsite

Formerly the site of a forestry camp, Freemans is now regularly occupied by picnickers and other daytrippers. The open nature of the site makes it good for families and other large groups. Get onto Main Rd from Ennis Rd, which branches off the Hume Fwy just south of the Tallarook township exit – the campground is 11 km east of the Hume. Note: while conventional vehicles can access Freemans, other areas of the forest require a 4WD.
