Grampians National Park
Hiking and walking
Bushwalkers in the Grampians have over 200 kilometres of maintained tracks to choose from. Many of the short, well-marked trails can be found in the Wonderland Range, west of Halls Gap. The Grand Canyon Loop is a medium-grade circuit of 900 metres starting from Wonderland carpark. Longer jaunts take in Sundial Peak, The Pinnacle and several waterfalls. Other must-visit sites that are accessed via short walks include the rocky perch known as The Balconies, previously known as the Jaws of Death, and magnificent MacKenzie Falls. For a challenging hike, try Mount Difficult, Mount Stapylton and the Major Mitchell Plateau.
