Grampians National Park

Kangaroos are the iconic creatures of the Grampians National Park, with eastern greys most visible from Zumstein picnic ground. Western grey kangaroos are also visible, easily distinguished by their browner colouring. Koalas and kookaburras frequent Halls Gap, as do crimson rosellas, gang-gang and sulphur-crested cockatoos. Raptors, including wedge-tailed eagles and peregrine falcons, inhabit the sky, and Victoria’s best display of wildflowers in spring attracts a rich array of nectar-feeding birds.
