Cherrypool Highway Park
Campsite
Handy for an overnight stop between Horsham and Hamilton, this rest area is on the Henty Hwy, 50 km south of Horsham. Sitting beside the Glenelg River, perhaps with a line in the water, makes a welcome change from negotiating traffic on the road, and there are barbecues if you want to cook up some food. Don’t park or camp under any river red gums, however, as these trees are notorious for dropping their heavy limbs.
