Davies Plain Hut camping area (Davies High Plain area)

4WD fireplace/campfire horseriding no pets allowed no rubbish disposal picnic table with shelter ranger toilets vehicle-based camping

Camping is possible near Davies Plain Hut, which is just over 16 km south of the nearest Murray River crossing, and 13 km north of Charlies Creek Plain. Located on the Davies Plain Track, this is the domain of 4WD vehicles and horseriders – the latter take advantage of the nearby horseyards. If you’re lucky, you may even see some wild horses among the snow gums up here.

The camp is set among snow gums near the historic Davies Plain Hut. There is good 4WD access through this part of the park and this site makes a good stopover on a tour, or equally, a pleasant base from which to explore both to the north and the south.
