For more than 20 years, George and Patrizia Simone have been serving exceptional Italian cuisine at their award-winning restaurant in a welcoming converted Victorian home. Loyal gourmet food buffs come from around the state to sample Simone’s rustic fare featuring quality regional produce. Popular dishes include braised Buckland Valley goat, roast farmed Yackandandah rabbit with fennel and garlic, and homemade gnocchi with truffle. With chef son Anthony joining Patrizia in the kitchen, expect even more interesting dishes such as local Roberts Creek duck breast filled with smoked eel and served with watercress salad and local raspberries. Meanwhile George reigns over a comprehensive cellar of classic regional, Australian and Italian wines.
