In the southern section of the national park, several bush-camping sites are scattered alongside Reedy Creek, which winds from near Woolshed Falls to the fancifully named Eldorado gold dredge. To get here, take the road towards Beechworth from Chiltern and then head west on Woolshed Rd – a worthwhile detour is the Gorge Scenic Drive just north of Beechworth.

This campsite is located in Chiltern–Mount Pilot National Park

There’s a feast of goldmining history in this region, dating back to the claims that were taken up here in the late 1850s – places to visit include the Indigo Goldfields Cemetery and the open-cut Magenta Mine. Also here is the Yeddonba Aboriginal Cultural Site, at the base of Mt Pilot. Natural highlights include Woolshed Falls. The park has 2 sections: one around Chiltern, the other to the south of town.
