Eight Mile Creek is a camping area on the southern shoreline of Lake Dartmouth, where it’s only accessible by boat. The lake is encircled by, but not technically part of, the stunning Alpine National Park, and the lack of car access only enhances the peace and quiet. Go fishing for Macquarie perch and trout, or paddle a canoe around Victoria’s largest-capacity water storage.
