The Magnolia Restaurant
Restaurant/cafe
Surrounded by an established garden with the eponymous 110-year-old magnolia in front, this gracious, century-old, two-storey, twin-gabled cottage is the perfect setting for dining out in the country. Although they serve modern Australian dishes, you can expect the occasional European accent to appear since the chef and co-owner is indeed Austrian. While the menu might feature High Country beef and farmed barramundi, locals know that Wednesday is schnitzel night, with a choice of beef, pork or chicken schnitzels with various toppings. On Thursdays a degustation menu is offered, available with matching wines.
