Barnewall Plains camping area
Campsite
You can camp on small grassy sites in the Barnewall Plains camping area, which is 6 km down Barnewall Plains Rd from the Eildon–Jamieson Rd turn-off. This is the start of the superb 2 km Mt Torbreck Walking Track. It leads up through alpine ash into snow gum forest before reaching the summit, with its panoramic views. Note: snow and heavy fog can descend on the area in winter.
