From Lake Moodemere, the Murray River doglegs north past Corowa before taking another turn to the east. It’s up this way, 5 km north-east of Wahgunyah, that you’ll find Granthams Bend. There are walks along the riverbank here – one heads south to the John Foord Bridge that links Wahgunyah with Corowa, and another takes you 2 km upstream to the St Leonards Winery. From the centre of Rutherglen, take Hopetoun Rd, which becomes Carlyle Rd.

This campsite is located in Murray River – Bundalong to Barnawartha North

The stretch of the Murray River between the old town of Barnawartha and the equally well-aged township of Bundalong harbours numerous small reserves where you can pitch a tent in the bush – so long as the tent is set up at least 20 m from any watercourse, that is. If you like wine, the vineyards around nearby Rutherglen may tempt you away from the riverbank. Signposted access roads appear frequently along the Murray Valley Hwy.
