The Golden Age Hotel Motel
Restaurant/cafe
This contemporary restaurant is within the 1940s Art Deco walls of a comfortable two-storey country hotel, overlooking the main street of Omeo and the surrounding hills. Just 50 minutes from Mount Hotham, it is a good spot to warm up before a taste of the snow. Popular entrées include salt-and-pepper calamari and beef satay stir-fry. Main courses might be Atlantic salmon, seafood pasta, and reef and beef – prawns, scallops, mussels and calamari atop a 300-gram steak. For dessert, you can’t go past the apple and rhubarb crumble or a slice of their homemade cheesecake.
