Wheelers Creek Hut was built about 30 years ago for timber industry workers. It’s now a prime destination for 4WD tourers who ramble down a scenic stretch of Wheeler Creek Logging Rd to reach it. The area for campers has facilities that include toilets and picnic tables. As with other camping spots in Pendergast State Forest, a 4WD is recommended for access; check with the ranger about road conditions.
