Located in a paddock, about 10 minutes by car from Bright, this three-bedroom house is a modern architectural interpretation of the typical Australian homestead. It has been reconstructed from two 1950s corrugated-iron tobacco kilns that were dismantled and transformed into luxury accommodation with a spacious living area, high ceilings and a real cook’s kitchen – all with magnificent views. There’s a slow-combustion stove, heated floors and a drying cabinet for damp ski gear, plus a barbecue for summer dining, cowhide rugs and lovely contemporary Italian furniture. Go with friends.
