The campsites in this small reserve are only 50 m from the fishing in Moonee Moonee Creek. There are toilets here and you can draw water from the creek, though obviously boil or treat it before use. Horesriders and 4WD regularly trek through this area on their way to distant tracks.

This campsite is located in James Camping Reserve

This reserve is hidden away within the confines of the Strathbogie Ranges, 25 km north-west of Mansfield. Its claim to historical fame is that it served as a hiding place for the Kelly Gang, but visitors are more interested in the area’s walking and cycling tracks, and in the trout that swim in the local creeks. At Swanpool, turn off the Midland Hwy onto Lima East Rd.
