Ki Bend camping area (bush camping)
If you’re into fishing and you have a NSW fishing licence, you’ll want to try one of the bush campsites down by the Murray River at Ki Bend. It’s one of 3 places offering riverside campsites between Wemen and Colignan. But Ki Bend is the only one at which no generators are permitted, so tranquillity is usually assured here. Access is via the River Track.

This campsite is located in Hattah-Kulkyne National Park
When the lakes system at the heart of Hattah–Kulkyne is in flood, this mallee region is transformed into wonderful wetlands that attract myriad bird species. Numerous 4WD tracks and bushwalks crisscross the area, or you can go canoeing into the sunset when the Murray overflows its banks. The park hugs the Murray River to the south of Mildura, and is accessed via the Hattah–Robinvale Rd; check road conditions inside the park with the rangers. All river camps are informal and many are surrounded by ancient river red gums. Note: always camp away from overhanging branches as they can fall without warning.
