Stefano’s Cafe Bakery
Not content to have just one restaurant serving some of the best food in the country, energetic chef Stefano de Pieri has opened this second outlet – a cafe, bakery, art gallery and wine bar – nearby. The bakery produces terrific breads – sourdough, grain, ciabatta and focaccia – as well as pastries, cakes, muffins and more. Start the day with Danish pastries or homemade bircher muesli with a great cup of coffee. Traditional breakfast dishes are made using free-range eggs and organic bacon; at weekends, breakfast is served all day. Stefano also makes Italian-style eggs poached in peperonata and Moroccan-style with Middle Eastern flavours. For lunch, there might be a whole range of pastas topped with Italian sausage, meatballs or trout, depending on the season.
