The new Spanish Bar and Grill
The owners of this popular up-market steakhouse go to a lot of trouble obtaining premium cuts of meat, aged on the bone and cooked over a real charcoal fire of slow-burning red gum and mallee roots. Butchers from Loxton, Ouyen and Mildura source prime beef from local farmers; the chefs do the rest – usually to perfection. There are plenty of non-meat options, such as seafood and poultry, but not a lot of choices for vegetarians. The adjacent Seasons restaurant at the central wine bar offers a seasonally changing menu of modern Australian fare; it is open Monday to Saturday for dinner.
