The Paddlewheel camping area (bush camping)
This is the first riverside bush-camping area you come to if you’re driving into Murray–Kulkyne Park from the township of Wemen on Hattah–Robinvale Rd. Some of the protected species you may see when you’re here include carpet pythons and the enigmatically named barking marsh frog.
Who to contact: Parks Victoria 13 1963
This campsite is located in Murray–Kulkyne Park
The 2 sections of Murray–Kulkyne Park are squeezed between the Murray River to the east and the flood plains of Hattah–Kulkyne National Park to the west. It comprises some great riverfront land, with the added advantage that, unlike the neighbouring national park, dogs on leads and generators are permitted here. All camping sites are accessed from the River Track, which heads south from Colignan and north from the Hattah–Robinvale Rd; check road conditions if towing a caravan.
