This ultra-casual seafood specialist does a roaring trade, despite not taking bookings – so come early. In summer, head for a shared table in the taverna-style pebbled courtyard at the rear. The fish is bought fresh daily, with the blackboard menu based on what is available – perhaps trevally baked with couscous, fiery harissa and chermoula marinade, or swordfish filled with olive tapenade butter. Most dishes are whole fish meant to be shared, served grilled, poached, steamed or baked. If you like a bit more protein on your plate, opt for the seafood chilli stir-fry with prawns, mussels, pipis and clams. The eponymous claypots are ideal for individual serves with tasty seafood stews served on either rice or couscous.
