Koorie Heritage Trust walking tour - Melbourne

Begin to envisage the ancient lands of the Kulin people, before the existence of towering buildings and concrete, on the two-hour Koorie Heritage Trust walking tour along the Yarra River, or Birrarung (as the river is called by its original inhabitants). You will learn that the MCG was once an ancient corroboree site, and that the river itself was a lifeline. The areas where restaurants now sit were once food-gathering and eating areas. The tour begins at Enterprize Park and finishes at Federation Square. Another walk, the twohour Introduction to Koorie Culture, begins at Flagstaff Gardens.
