Taxi Dining Room
The views from Taxi Dining Room over the Yarra River, arts precinct and CBD are worth a visit in themselves, as is the dining area that channels 1960s airport glamour and a cinematically futuristic metal mesh and glass aesthetic. But Taxi’s charm comes from more than its striking looks. The menu of contemporary food that shows influences from Japan, South-East Asia and Europe (but never on the same plate) might include both superb quality sashimi and duck and rabbit with foie gras. The excellent, lengthy wine list includes a comprehensive list of sake and is supported by top-quality, knowledgeable service.
