Temple Brewery & Brasserie
Ron and Renata Feruglio launched the Temple Brewing Company in 2006, brewing their beers initially at the 3 Ravens Brewery and latterly at Jamieson Brewery. The core range includes Pale Ale, Bitter, Golden Ale and Saison – the latter is a golden farmhouse-style ale brewed with a significant portion of unmalted spelt and flavoured with delicate additions of dried orange peel, coriander seed and Brazilian pepper. Temple Soba is one of this country’s more unusual brews and is made with 25 per cent toasted buckwheat. As we went to press, the Feruglios were about to start construction on a new 18-hectolitre microbrewery, with plans to open Temple Brewery & Brasserie in Brunswick later in 2011.
