There’s plenty on offer for water lovers at Capel Sound, including fishing, swimming, canoeing and boating, the latter aided by a boat launch. Note: Tootgarook is only open seasonally Nov–Apr, while Rosebud West is open year-round. All campsites are accessed from Point Nepean Rd.

This campsite is located in Capel Sound Foreshore Reserve

Facing Port Phillip Bay on the western side of Mornington Peninsula is the Capel Sound Foreshore Reserve. The reserve’s campsites are sprinkled along the beach at 2 locales: Rosebud West and Tootgarook – access to both sites is from the waterfront Port Nepean Rd. Arthurs Seat State Park is close by, as are some excellent wineries.
