There are plenty of campsites to choose from here alongside the bay. If you’re lucky you’ll catch sight of the bottle-nosed dolphins that sometimes frequent the area. You can also catch a ferry from Sorrento across the mouth of Port Phillip Bay to the attractive town of Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula. Camping is only permitted here Nov–Apr.

This campsite is located in Sorrento Foreshore Reserve

At the very tip of Mornington Peninsula, with the rough swells of Bass Strait on one side and the sheltered sweep of Port Phillip Bay on the other, lies the Sorrento Foreshore Reserve. It faces across the bay, while behind it are the historic limestone buildings of Sorrento township. All manner of watersports are enjoyed here, as is cycling along the picturesque waterfront. Follow Point Nepean Rd to get here.
