Located up in the north-eastern arm of Baw Baw National Park, the Aberfeldy River camping area is close to where you’ll find some of Victoria’s best whitewater rafting: on the Thomson River downstream from the Thomson Dam. For great views of the valley that the Aberfeldy River has carved out for itself, climb up to the top of Mt St Gwinear. This campground is 17 km north of Walhalla, off the Walhalla–Aberfeldy Rd.

The mountainous, sub-alpine environment of Baw Baw National Park offers stunning views, invigorating bushwalking and excellent cross-country skiing. Wildflowers delight visitors in summer, while in winter it’s the snowy woodlands that create some chilly magic. The park is near Rawson, about 40 km north from Moe. Access roads branch off the Thomson Valley Rd north of Erica.
