This walk-in camping area in the extreme south of the national park is the first overnight stop for intrepid hikers coming down the long-distance Australian Alps Walking Track from Walhalla. There’s a horseriding track nearby along the old tramway that shadows Thomson Valley Rd. While you’re here, keep an eye out for endangered species such as the Leadbeaters possum and Baw Baw frog.
