Although you can reach this peaceful site beside the Thomson River in a conventional vehicle via the signposted route from Walhalla, a 4WD is recommended for the trip. You’ll definitely need a 4WD to get here via Bruntons Bridge Rd off Cowwarr Rd, which involves a significant river crossing. To reward yourself when you finally get here, have a refreshing swim in the river.
