Harry’s on the Esplanade
With an enviable location on the waterfront in front of the pier, this casual beachside restaurant enjoys panoramic views across Westernport Bay, with a retractable roof for year-round alfresco dining. The daily menu has a regional focus, revolving around fresh seafood sourced from local trawlers – perhaps succulent crayfish in season and King George whiting – as well as Phillip Island beef and lamb, and vegetables and herbs from market gardens from nearby Koo-wee-rup and Nar Nar Goon. An in-house bakery produces terrific farmers-style bread, baguettes and breads daily, and all ice-creams are homemade. Harry boasts an extensive wine list, many aged in his own private cellar.
