Little Snake Island is closer to the Gippsland coast than its larger neighbour; it’s just offshore from Port Welshpool. As with Snake Island, the only access is by boat, and a permit is needed to camp here. The campsites can be found at the Bluff in the south-western corner of the island. Don’t forget to bring a lemon to flavour the snapper or King George whiting that you’ll be landing on the beach.

This campsite is located in Nooramunga Marine and Coastal Park

The Nooramunga Marine and Coastal Park lies 200 km south-east of Melbourne and is framed by the glorious, rugged peaks of Wilsons Promontory. The islands of the park provide a natural buffer for some of the Gippsland coastline from the relentless pounding of Bass Strait. Fish the network of waterways for Australian salmon or peer at old shipwreck sites. The South Gippsland Hwy provides access.
