McGaurans Beach is 21 km north-east of Woodside. North of the township, take Giffard Rd off the South Gippsland Hwy, and after 9 km take the signposted turning onto McGaurans Beach Rd. Note: while you can enjoy observing the marine life offshore, it’s illegal to fish in the waters of the park, and to remove any object from the beach.

This campsite is located in Ninety Mile Beach Marine National Park

This marine national park protects 2750 ha of pristine reefs and seabed off Ninety Mile Beach, which stretches north-east from Woodside towards Lakes Entrance. Included in this area of staggering marine diversity is 5 km of coastline around Lake Denison, part of which is taken up by the lovely sands of McGaurans Beach.
