Ada No. 2 Mill camping area (walk-in camping)

Dogs allowed Free No rubbish disposal Non-vehicle camping Hiking trails Walking trails

Tucked away deep in the forest, this is a walk-in bush-camping spot on the 33 km, 2-day Walk into History Trail that leads from Warburton to Powelltown. The section of the track heading from the mill up to Highlead carpark is the most difficult part of the walk, and you’ll see evidence of past bushfires that have swept through this region. The Highlead carpark is accessed off the Noojee–Powelltown Rd.

This campsite is located in Yarra State Forest

The mighty mountain ash trees swaying gently in the breeze are a big drawcard for visitors to Yarra State Forest, located 75 km east of Melbourne via the Eastern Fwy. Walking trails reveal waterfalls and the majesty of the local tree line, and show the route of an old logging-industry tramline. From Yarra Junction or Warburton, drive into the forest to Powelltown.
