a la grecque
This informal Greek restaurant run by legendary restaurateur Kosta Talihmanidis is just 11 kilometres south of Anglesea at Aireys Inlet. A crisp, modern Australian incarnation of Greek dining, the restaurant sparkles with energy. White walls are splashed with bright colour, and the wooden furnishings and pitched roof lined with straw add warmth and style. Local seafood features strongly – perhaps calamari or flathead, cooked simply but to perfection, and always with good-quality ingredients. The dining inside is great but you can also ask for a table on the deck or in the courtyard to eat under the gum trees in the ocean breeze. Kosta has effortlessly captured the essence of his homeland, charming visitors and locals with his zesty fare.
