Bridgewater Bay Beach Cafe
The original kiosk overlooking the ocean, the beach and the bluff to the seal colony has morphed in recent years into this casual licensed cafe with outside deck. It is worth the 15-minute detour by car west of Portland for the views alone, but most come for the fisherman’s basket (fish, prawns, calamari, scallops, chips and a bowl of salad), great hamburgers, and signature fish and chips. They also do vegetarian lasagne and rolls, sandwiches and wraps, and serve good coffee.
